Magizh Thirumeni is an Indian filmmaker who specializes in Tamil cinema. He directed four Tamil films after serving as an assistant to directors Selvaraghavan and Gautham Menon, including the action thrillers Thadaiyara Thaakka (2012), Meaghamann (2014), and Thadam (2019).Magizh Thirumeni was a voracious reader of Tamil and Russian literature as a youth, and he frequently penned poems and short stories, describing the experience as "satisfying." After that, he tried his hand at writing novels and scripts before falling in love with filmmaking. Magizh frequently visited the offices of directors, including P. in the early 2000s, in the hopes of breaking into the film industry as a director. T. Vasu and Vasu Rajender, who aspires to be a part of their respective squads. Director Kasthuri Raja hired Magizh to work on his son Selvaraghavan's first film, but due to delays, he had to work as an assistant director on their coming-of-age picture Thulluvadho Ilamai first (2002).
